Crochet dog sweater

Sick baby = tired mama.

I didn’t feel like moving or thinking, so I crocheted a basic dog sweater. I used Fishermans wool that I had dyed last year, but couldn’t figure out what I wanted to do with it.

Some homeless guy has been feeding our dog fast food, so he’s been gaining weight like crazy. Not sure what to do about it.

Pattern:

Worsted weight yarn

Size K crochet hook

Ch 31

First row: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, 4sc, 1hdc, 25dc, turn

Even rows: ch 2, 25dc in back loops, 1hdc in back loops, 5 sc in back loops, turn

Odd rows: ch1, 5sc in back loops, 1hdc in back loops, 25dc in back loops, turn

Create two pieces, one with 10 rows for the bottom, and one with 20 rows for the top (or big enough to fit your dog). Put pieces together and sew first 10 sts, skip 10, sew last 10 sts, for both of the seams.

Weave in ends.
