Christmas

I spent today Christmas shopping and wrapping presents. I must confess that I’m getting really excited for Christmas — I haven’t been this anxious for the 25th to roll around since I was a little kid.

My Lover and I decided to do our shopping at the thrift store — something that I fell in love with a couple of years ago. It’s like going on a treasure hunt, and some days we find a lot of good stuff, while others we leave empty handed. I like the uncertainty, and the possibilities. We’ve found some truly beautiful things in the past.

Today’s focus was on getting toys for the baby. Most of the toys that are available at thrift stores need some love before they can be played with, but in my opinion it’s well worth it. We found some wonderful things that I think that the baby will enjoy, and it didn’t cost us much at all. That leaves plenty of funds for a wide variety of presents, making for a very exciting Christmas.

The best part is sharing this with my husband and baby.
