I got my hands on a bunch of patterns from the 1970s, so there’s going to be a theme with a lot of my sewing projects for the next while. I decided that I wanted to make this peasant-style blouse for my first venture, and since it was already cut out in a larger size than I wanted, I needed to resize it. So, I broke out my tissue paper and my colored pens, and got to work.
I’m always amused by how big sleeve patterns can get.
I always iron my patterns on top my fabric before pinning. It prevents me from smoothing the pattern with my hands and scratching myself up with the pins.
