The thing that I hate the most about unpacking is that I have to find a home for everything. Since my Lover and I have lived in a variety of places, objects that were absolutely essential in one place are obsolete in another — and so I need to find somewhere out of the way to shove the items that I’m not sure if I’ll ever need again, but can’t get rid of because of how useful they were in the past. Sometimes I feel like 90% of my life is stuffed away in boxes.
Then there’s the way that everything gets lost. Right now I have no clue where the baby clothes are.
This round of adventures takes us back to your typical middle class neighborhood, complete with Mormons who attend church every week. This is the setting that I grew up in, so it will be interesting to observe it with new eyes.
